This story shows the true nature of humans. We always have the desire for wanting bigger and better things although, we have everything we ever need. We have a tendency to think that people who live large and have a lot of money are much happier. However, in reality, the house with a family that shows, love and compassion towards each other is the only one that could be called a home. In this story, the girl dreams of living in the big house with the beautiful windows as she thinks that the house is beautiful. However, she doesn't realize that what makes a house beautiful is the people that live in it. When she finally sees that the house is neglected and it is very dirty. She learns that love and compassion is needed in a home not the size and beauty of the home. She realizes that her house is the one with the golden windows.
"Life is a song - sing it. Life is a game - play it. Life is a challenge - meet it. Life is a dream - realize it. Life is a sacrifice - offer it. Life is love - enjoy it. " - Sai Baba
"Service is the highest spiritual discipline. Prayer and meditation, or knowledge of scripture and Vedanta (holy scriptures of India), cannot help you reach the goal as quickly as service can. Service has a double effect: it extinguishes the ego and gives bliss. "- SSB
