Do not treat god as a stone or as a picture

In a Kirshna temple in India, one of the legs of the idol of Krishna was broken. The priests went around to Pundit who suggested that the throw away the idol as it was not fit for the temple and told them to get a new statue. One of the priest went to the famous Ramakrishna and told him about what had happened. In reply he gave a scenario. He said " If you daughter's husband had broken his leg would you care to take him to the hospital to get fixed or find a new husband." In return the priest has realized what Ramakrishna was trying to say.

We must always see god as a divine spirit. All these forms of pictures and statues are there to help us visualize. It is true that the image is not GOD but we can conclude that GOD is in the picture. We should live with the rule that God is omnipresent.
